After ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,’ Read These 5 Comics

The doctor’s death is strange # 1-5 (2021-2022)

For Stephen Strange, Marvel’s recent comic book outing kills the character – and immediately brings an alternate version of it to investigate the murder. It’s fun, fast moving, and full of twists and turns. In this short series, author Jade McKay and artist Lee Garbett conjure up the mystery of the murder, creating an improbable but ideal acquaintance with Dr. Strange and the strange world around him… even though he is technically dead.

Defenders # 1-5 (2021-2022)

They may not be traveling across the Multiverse, but this renaissance of the 1970s super team is so mind-boggling that you won’t even notice. When Strange visits a mysterious man wearing an object of enormous and unknown power, it embarks on a journey beyond the source of the Marvel Universe and into the existing reality. Although things didn’t work out very well for Scarlett Witch’s MCU version, those looking for a happy ending should pay attention to this recent story where she stands alone against a demonic attack. Young Avengers # 1-15 (2013)
